The requirements to run a business from your home will depend upon the kind of business you operate and the city/county in which your business is located. Residential neighborhoods often don’t allow home-based businesses to have excessive client traffic or business signage at the home.

You should think of first of what kind of business that you want to have. If you already do have a choice then, you must get a business permit also to make it legal.

go to the county office building, get the papers for filing your Business Name (DBA, Doing business as). Contact the State Dept of Taxation and Finance in Albany ~~~ you need authority to collect and pay Sales Tax Monies to the State. Get the right kind of insurance for your business: LIability, Inventory, Property Damage.
